On April 8th, 2010, the Oakville Awards for Business Excellence were held at the Oakville Conference & Banquet Centre, Oakville, ON. Florence Meats was a finalist in the category of Oakville's Small Company of the Year 2009.

"OIMP had the privilege of participating at the Farmer's Market held at Queen's Park on June 16, 2009 showcasing the bounty of Ontario. Over 400 people including Premier Dalton McGuinty and Leona Dombrowsky, Ontario Minister of Agriculture Food and Rural Affairs sampled Ontario Finest Award Winning products provided by Bona Foods, Florence Meats, and Stemmler Meats and Cheese.
